Windows™ 2000 EDGE/GPRS set-up

Note: Your PC must have the Remote Access Service and the TCP/IP protocol installed within the network components. You can check this in ‘Start->Settings->Control Panel’ and double clicking on ‘Network’. If not, these components have to be previ- ously added from your Windows™ installation disk.

To configure your EDGE/GPRS connection for a PC with Windows™

2000 as operating system, follow the provided steps:

1.Locate and double-click on the My Computer icon located on your desktop.

2.Locate and double-click on the Network and Dial-Up Connections icon.

3.With the Dial Up Networking screen displayed, double-click on the Make New Connection option.

4.With the Location Information screen displayed:

Select the country or region that you are situated in from the What country/region are you in now? option.

Specify the area or city code as well as the number you need to dial when you access an outside line, if it is required.

Select whether your phone system uses Tone or Pulse dialing.

5. Click on the OK button.
