When you receive a new email there is a notification displayed on bottom of the screen. Selecting Show takes you to your inbox. Unread items are shown in bold.

4.2.2 Reading Emails and Attachments
Read the email by selecting it in the inbox. Unread items are shown in bold and an envelope indicates an email. The email contains all the usual information such as sender, subject, timestamp etc. Priority is not indicated. Select Options > Message details to see more information. Attachments are indicated by a paperclip icon (
) in the inbox.
