How to replace brush rollor belt

•Step on handle release to lower handle flat
ontofloor (Fig.1).
•Remove 4 screws from brush roll cover.
(Fig.2).
•Lift off br ush roll cover.(Fig. 3).
•Remove brush roll and belt. Thread new
beltaround motor shaft and brush roll
(Fig.4).
•Inser t left end of brush roll first.Make sure
endcap fits into base. Pull right side of
brush roll to stretch belt and insert right
endcap into base (Fig. 5). Make sure it
slidesinto position.
•Rotate br ush roll 2 turns to center belt.
•Replace br ush roll cover(Fig. 3).
•Replace 4 screws (Fig. 6).

How to maintain your vacuum cleaner

Make sure vacuum cleaneris turned off and power cord is unplugged.

Check U belt.Replace if worn, cut or out of shape.

Avoidtouching the motor shaft when checking brush roll or belt.

Maintain brush roll

Motorpulley can become hot with normal use.
Removehair and threads from brush roll periodically. Do not remove end caps.
Hoseblockage
•Remove hose from hose retainer. Flex the
hoseto loosen any blockage (Fig.1).
Removedust cup. Set air path knob to ‘floors.’
Usefinger to check for debris (Fig 2).
Basehose
Pulldown to loosen end of
basehose. Use finger to clear blockage.
Snaphose end back up into position (Fig 3).
Hoseconnector – Pull out on left side tab
toremove connector. Remove debris. Align
tabat r ight and snap connectorback into
place(Fig. 4).

How to Clear a Blockage

Makesure vacuum is turned off and power cord is unplugged.
