CheckforLooseHardware

1.Stopengine,waitforallmovingpartstostop,and
removekey.Engageparkingbrake.
2.Visuallyinspectmachineforanyloosehardware
oranyotherpossibleproblem.Tightenhardware
orcorrecttheproblembeforeoperating.

1.Stopengine,waitforallmovingpartstostop,and
removekey.Engageparkingbrake.
2.Tiltseatforwardandraisehoodtogainaccess
totheaircleaner.
3.Loosenretainingclipsandremoveaircleaner
compartmentcover.
4.Removepaperelement.Checkthecondition
ofthepaperelement.Replaceifdirty,bentor
damaged.
5.Checktheconditionoftheinnerelement.Replace
wheneveritappearsdirty,typicallyeveryother
timethepaperelementisreplaced.Cleanthebase
aroundtheinnerelementbeforeremoving,so
dirtdoesnotgetintotheengine.
6.DoNotwashorusepressurizedairtoclean
paperelementorinnerelement.
7.Reinstallelements.Positionthecoversothatthe
rubberdustejectorispointingdownwardand
securewithretainingclips.

1.Stopengine,waitforallmovingpartstostop,and
removekey.Engageparkingbrake.
2.Tiltseatforwardandraisehoodtogainaccess
totheenginearea.
3.Drainoilwhileengineiswarmfromoperation.
4.Fithoseinliteraturepackoveroildrainvalve.
Rotatethevalve1/4counterclockwiseandgently
pulloutwardtoopenthevalve.Allowtheoilto
drain,thenclosethevalvebypushinginwardand
rotating1/4turnclockwise.Removeandretain
thehoseforfutureuse.
5.Replacetheoilltereveryotheroilchange.Clean
aroundoillterandunscrewltertoremove.
Beforereinstallingnewlter,applyathincoating
ofoilonthesurfaceoftherubberseal.Turn
lterclockwiseuntilrubbersealcontactsthelter
adapterthentightenlteranadditional2/3to
3/4turn.
6.Cleanaroundoilllcapandremovecap.Fillto
speciedcapacityandreplacecap.
7.Useoilrecommendedinengineowner’smanual.
DoNotoverll.Starttheengineandcheckfor
leaks.
