A. INTRODUCTION

Your printer is equipped with an internal adjustment mode programmable through the LCD Display. This adjustment mode allows you to change the printerÕs internal settings for overall Image Darkness, Image Placement, Magnetic Offset, SmartCard Offset, and Print Length. To change these settings, please refer to the remainder of this section.

CAUTION! THESE SETTINGS ARE OPTIMIZED AT THE FACTORY AND IN MOST CASES WILL NOT NEED TO BE CHANGED. DO NOT ALTER THESE SETTINGS UNLESS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY. IF YOU DO NEED TO CHANGE THESE SETTINGS, IT IS IMPORTANT TO WRITE DOWN THE ORIGINAL SETTINGS ALONG WITH THE PRINTERÕS SERIAL NUMBER FOR LATER REFERENCE.

NOTE: If adjustment to the Image Darkness or Image Placement is required, try making these adjustments through the printer driver prior to changing the internal printer settings.

B. ADJUSTING THE INTERNAL PRINTER SETTINGS

To enter the printerÕs adjustment mode, close the printerÕs Top Cover and press both the On/Cancel and Pause/Resume buttons at the same time. The following message will display on the printerÕs LCD Display:
