IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

The lightning flash with arrowhead symbol withi n an equilateral tr iangle is intended to
alert the user to th e presence of uninsulated “dangerous voltag e” within the product ’s
enclosure that may be of sufficien t magnitud e to co nstitute a risk of ele ctric sh ock to
persons.
The exclamation point within an equilateral t riangle is inten ded to aler t the user to the
presence of important operat ing and maintenance (servicing) instructions in the
literature accompanying the produc t.
1) Read these instructions.
2) Keep these instructions.
3) Heed all warnings.
4) Follow all instructions.
5) Do not use this apparatus near wat er.
6) Clean only with dry cloth.
7) Do not block any ventilatio n openings . In stall in accordance with t he manufa cturer’s
instructions.
8) Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat r egisters, stoves , or other apparatus
(including amplifiers) that produce hea t.
9) Do not defeat the safety purpose o f the p olarized or grounding-t ype plug. A p olarized plug
has two blades with one wider than th e other. A grounding t ype plug has two blad es and
a third grounding pr ong. T he wide blade or the thir d prong are provide d for your safe ty. If
the provided plug does not fit in to your outlet, co nsult an electricia n for replacement of the
obsolete outlet.
10) P rotect t he power cord f rom being walked on or pinched particular ly at plugs, conven ience
receptacles and the point where t hey exit from the apparatus .
11) O nly use attac hments/accessorie s specifie d by the manufac turer.
12) Us e only with t he cart, s tand, tripod, bracket, or t able specifi ed by the
manufacturer or sold with t he apparatu s. Wh en a car t is used, use caution
when moving the cart/apparatus combination to avoi d injury from tip-over.
13) U nplug this apparat us during lightni ng storms or wh en unused for l ong periods of t ime.
14) R efer all servic ing to qualified service person nel. Servicing is required when th e apparat us
has been damaged in any way, such as power-supply cord or plug i s damaged, liquid has bee n
spilled or object s have fallen into the apparatus, the appa ratus has been exposed to rain or
moisture, does not operate norm ally, or has been drop ped.
15) To compl etely disconnec t this apparatus fro m the AC mains, disconnec t the power supply cord
plug from the AC receptacle.
16) T he mains plug of t he power supply cor d shall remain readily operable.
17) WARN ING – To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock , do not expose thi s apparatus to rain or
moisture.
18) D o not exp ose this eq uipment to dr ipping or spl ashing and ens ure that no objects filled with
liquids, such as vases, are placed on the equipment.
19) M aintain at least 6 inches (15.25 cm) of unobstruc ted air space b ehind the unit to allow fo r
proper ventilation and cooling of the unit.
20) C AUTION – For rack mounted power amplifier s, keep all wiring and materials away f rom
the sides of the unit and allow the unit to cool dow n for 2 minut es before p ulling from a rack
enclosure.
21) A mplifiers and loudspeaker sy stems, an d ear/headphon es (if equipped) are c apable of
producing very high sound pres sure levels which may cause tempor ary or perma nent hearing
damage. Use care when setting and adjusting vo lume levels during use.
22) F CC Part 15 Compliance Stat ement (for digital prod ucts, as applicable) - Part 15.21: Ch anges
or modifications n ot expre ssly approve d by the par ty res ponsible f or compliance could void
the user’s authority to operate the equipment. NOTE : The manuf acturer is not responsibl e for
any radio or TV interference caused by unauthor ized modi fications to this equipment. Such
modifications could void the us er’s authorit y to operate the equipment.
23) WARN ING – To maintain product safet y, produc ts wit h internal or external (batter y pack)
batteries: •Bat teries and/or the pro duct in which the y are ins talled, shall not be exposed to
excessive heat such as sunshin e, fire or the like. •There may be a danger of explosi on if the
battery is incorrect ly conn ected/replaced . Replace only with the same or equivalent type
battery specified in the instructi ons or on the pro duct.
24) C AUTION – Unplug unit and allow it to cool before touching/ replacing vac uum tubes.
25) WARN INGProvide an earthing connection before the mains plu g is connected to the mains.
And, when disconnecting the ear thing connec tion, be sure to disconnect after pulling o ut the
mains plug from the mains.
26) A pparatus with CL ASS I construc tion (grounded ty pe with a three- prong plug) must be
connected to a MAINS socket out let with a prote ctive eart hing connectio n.
