5.6Reading Comprehension

In Reading Comprehension, you fill in the missing words while reading an English passage.

1.In the Exercises menu, press 2.In Reading Comprehension, press / • To define a word in the text: At to select “Reading Comprehension” and then press OK / 5.Press F1 [Confirm] when all questions are done..

3.Press Manual background / Manual background to scroll while reading the passage. The missing words are replaced with numbers corresponding to the questions (word choices) in the lower pane of the screen.

Press Manual background / Manual background to jump to the previous or next question directly.

To define a word in the text: At

the text screen, press OK / Manual background to highlight the first word on the screen. Then use the direction keys to select a word you want to learn and press

. When done, press

to

return to the exercise. Press

/

to turn off the highlight.

 

4.Press the letter keys (A, B, C or D) to select the best answers for the missing words.

The selected answers are in bold typeface.

To show hints (by eliminating a selection), press F2 [Hint].

In test mode, answers must be submitted within the time limit.

5.Press F1 [Confirm] when all questions are done.

Press Manual background / Manual background to review the answers. A check mark indicates a correct answer while a cross mark for a wrong one.

Press F2 [Retry] to try again the exercise.

Press F1 [Next] to start a new exercise.

Press F5 [Exit] to quit the exercise.

6.Press F3 [Score] to show the score sheet.
