Focus Mode

Use FFOCUS MODE from the shooting menu to change how the camera focuses.

Select FFOCUS MODE from the shooting menu. The Focus Mode settings screen is displayed.

Select the focus mode.

Description

 

 

Focus manually using the command dial. Rotate the dial left to reduce the focus distance,

 

right to increase. Choose for manual control of focus or in situations in which the camera is

 

unable to focus using autofocus (P 39). Intelligent Face Detection turns off automatically.

rCENTER

The camera focuses on the subject in the center of the frame.

 

sMULTI

When the shutter button is pressed halfway, the camera detects high-contrast subjects near

the center of the frame and selects the focus area automatically.
