Shooting Mode

P: PROGRAM AE

In this mode, the camera sets exposure automatically. If desired, you can choose different combinations of shutter speed and aperture that will produce the same exposure (program shift).

If the subject is outside the metering range of the cam- era, the shutter speed and aperture displays will show “---”. Press the shutter button halfway to measure exposure again.

Program Shift

Rotate the command dial to choose the desired combination of shutter speed and aperture. The default values can be restored by raising the flash or turning the camera off. Program shift is only available if the flash is off and an option other than AUTO is selected for UDYNAMIC RANGE and NISO.
