Avoiding Blurred Pictures

If the subject is poorly lit, blurring caused by camera shake can be reduced by selecting ON for the LDUAL IS MODE option in the shooting menu (pg. 67). In B mode, this also reduces blur caused by subject movement (dual IS mode).

Best framing

Best Framing: To use the best framing, position the main subject at the intersection of two lines or align one of the horizontal lines with the horizon. Use fo- cus lock (pg. 22) to focus on subjects that will not be in the center of the frame in the fi nal photograph.

HD framing: Displays the High Defi nition (HD) 16 : 9 crop.
fis displayed when dual IS is on.

Sensitivity is raised when dual IS is in effect. Note that blurring may still occur depending on the scene or shooting conditions.
