ZUsing viewfinder
When using the viewfinder to take pictures, press DISP/ BACK to turn the LCD monitor off. Turning the LCD monitor off conserves battery power.
Viewfinder
Frame the shot so that the subject fills the center of the viewfinder. When taking a picture at a distance of 1 m to 2 m (3.3 ft. to 6.6 ft.) using the viewfinder, only the shaded area in the figure is photographed.
Holding the camera correctly
Using the viewfinder allows for a steady arm position, preventing picture blur.
•The viewfinder cannot be used to take shots in Macro mode.
•For more precise shot framing, use the LCD monitor to take the picture.
ZViewfinder lamp display
The viewfinder lamp lights or blinks when turning on the camera or pressing the shutter button. The viewfinder lamp shows camera status.
