Press the Jbutton to turn the camera on. The lens will extend and the lens cover will open.
Press Jagain to turn the camera off.

Press the Hbutton to start playback. Press the shutter button halfway to return to shooting mode.

Pictures can be affected by fi ngerprints and other marks on the lens. Keep the lens clean.
2Tip: Auto Power Off
To turn the camera on and begin playback, press the Hbutton for about a second.
Press the Hbutton again to turn the camera off.
2Tip: Switching to Shooting Mode
To exit to shooting mode, press the shutter button halfway. Press the Hbutton to return to playback.
The monitor will dim to save power if no operations are performed for about ten seconds in shooting mode. Full brightness can be restored by operating any of the camera controls. The camera will turn off automatically if no operations are performed for the length of time selected in the AUTO POWER OFF menu (see page 77). To turn the camera on, press the Jbutton or press the Hbutton for about a second.
