Shooting Mode
Choose for more powerful zoom when framing small or distant objects. Digital zoom is fi xed at 3 × and optical zoom can be adjusted using the zoom control to zoom in up to a further 5 ×, for a combined zoom of up to 15 ×.

2Tip: dDIGITAL ZOOM
The dDIGITAL ZOOM option in the setup menu can be used to enable digital zoom in other shooting modes. This option also allows digital zoom to be adjusted using the zoom control.
Choose this mode for soft- toned portraits with natural skin tones.
EScene PositionYour choice of 13 “scenes,” each adapted to particular shooting conditions or a specifi c type of subject, can be assigned to the E position on the mode dial:
1 Rotate the mode dial to E.
2 Press MENU/OK to display the shooting menu.
