Using the Menus: Shooting Mode

TIMAGE QUALITY

Choose how much image files are compressed. Select FINE (low compression) for higher image quality, NORMAL (high compression) to increase the number of pictures that can be stored.

PGCOLOR

Enhance contrast and color saturation or take pic- tures in black and white.

F-STANDARD

Standard contrast and saturation.

 

Recommended in most situations.

 

Vivid contrast and color. Choose

aF-CHROME

for vivid shots of fl owers or en-

 

hanced greens and blues in land-

 

scapes.

bF-B&W

Take pictures in black and white.

Settings other than F-STANDARDare shown by an icon in the display.

GCOLOR is not reset when the camera is turned off or another shooting mode is selected.

The effects of aF-CHROMEvary from scene to scene and may be difficult to discern with some subjects. Depending on the subject, the effects of aF-CHROMEmay not be visible in the display.
