Taking Pictures in G(SCENE RECOGNITION) Mode

Simply by pointing the camera at the subject, the camera automatically analyzes and selects the most appropriate setting using scene recognition.

Subject	Icon	Description
PORTRAIT	H	For soft-toned portraits with
		natural skin tones.
LANDSCAPE	I	For crisp, clear daylight shots of
		buildings and landscapes.
NIGHT		For night and twilight scenes,
	J	using a high sensitivity setting
		to minimize blurring.
MACRO	K	For clear close-ups of fl owers,
		etc.
BACKLIT		For a subject backlit against the
	T	sun, preventing the background
PORTRAIT
		from becoming dim.
NIGHT	Z	For a subject in a dim place,
PORTRAIT		reducing blur.

Tip

When a subject can not be analyzed by the camera, LAUTO mode will be set.

Notes

•BIntelligent Face Detection is turned on automatically.

•The camera continuously adjusts focus on a face, or the center area of the monitor.

•Continuous auto focus will be audible and battery drain will increase.
