jSOUND

Choose the sounds used for the shutter, at start up, and for camera controls. Press the selector up or down to highlight an option and press left or right to select a sound. Press MENU/OK to select.

hLCD MODE

If ON is selected, the monitor will automatically dim after a few seconds on inactivity to conserve power. Monitor brightness will return to normal when the shutter button is pressed.

The monitor will not dim when viewing pictures or movies.

fPLAYBACK VOLUME Adjust the volume for movie and voice memo playback and slide show music. Press the selector up or down to adjust the volume, then press MENU/OK.

gLCD BRIGHTNESS

Adjust the LCD brightness. Press the selector up or down to adjust the brightness, then press

MENU/OK.

oAUTO POWER OFF

Choose the length of time before the camera turns off automatically when no operations are performed. Shorter times increase battery life; if OFF is selected, the camera must be turned off manually. Note that regardless of the option selected, the camera will not turn off automatically when connected to a printer (pg. 50) or computer (pg. 55), while recording or viewing a movie or when a slide show is in progress (pg. 74).

Tip: Turning the camera on again

To enter shooting mode, press ON/OFF. To enter playback mode, press D.
