Monitoring Weather Channels
There are ten weather channels which provide continual broadcasts of area weather information as provided by the National Weather Service. Typically, only the first seven channels are actively used.
To monitor weather channels:

2.Use the UP/DOWN arrow keys to select the weather channel broadcast for the area you are navigating.
NOTE: You can monitor channels to determine the area weather broadcast you desire to monitor or refer to the list of weather broadcast stations published in the “Maritime Radio Users Handbook”.
Once you have selected a weather channel you can toggle back and forth to the regular channel bands by pressing the WX/CH ALERT key.
Weather Alert
The Weather Alert Feature can be activated to briefly monitor for a weather alert tone (every 5 seconds). You can choose a weather channel to monitor, activate the “WX Alert” feature then resume regular use of the radio. When a weather alert signal is detected the “WX ALERT” wording on the display will flash, and after an alert tone, the VHF 725 will automatically access the weather channel.
