SETTING UP THE SHOOTING FUNCTION
METERING• This button can be used to obtain the right exposure.
1. Rotate the mode dial to the SHOT mode.
2. Press the MENU button and press the UP ( ) / DOWN
( ) button to select [EXPOSURE].
3. Press the RIGHT ( ) button to select the [EV] sub
menu.
4. Press the UP ( ) / DOWN ( ) button to select
[METERING] and press the RIGHT ( ) button to select
the [METERING] sub menu.
5. Select the desired setting by pressing the UP ( ) /
DOWN ( ) button. After selecting the desired set-
ting, press the OK button to confirm the setting. The
default is FULL.
6. Press the MENU button to cancel the menu display.
• METERING mode indicator
-FULL : Exposure will be calculated based on an average of the light
available in the whole image area.
-CENTER : Exposure will be calculated based on an average of the light
available in the image area. However, the calculation will be
biased towards the center of the image area.
-SPOT : Use this function when there is backlight or when photographing a
subject that has little contrast.
In backlighting conditions , adjust the light metering to suit the
subject matter.
