Set the Modem status to Enable to allow access of the DSR-1000eZ by Mode.
1. With the Modem Init String highlighted, press the Enter button to enter the Edit mode. The character
bank will appear in the center of the menu.
2. Rotate the Shuttle to navigate the Modem Init String.
3. Rotate the Jog to select a character from the character bank.
4. Rotate the Shuttle to insert the desired character from the character bank into the Modem Init String
and advance to the next character.
5. When finished, press the Enter button.
6. To save the changes and reboot, select OK, then press the Enter button. The unit will only reboot if
changes were made to the Modem Init String.
To exit the menu without making changes, select Cancel, then press the Enter button. Pressing the
Menu button also exits the menu without making changes.

The DSR-1000eZ is compatible with several different brands of multiplexers. Use this
menu to specify the Playback format of the multiplexer. If the unit not connected to a
multiplexer, select NONE.
Use the Jog to select the Multiplexer format.
Press the Enter button to confirm the selection and exit the menu.

Press the Menu button to exit the menu without making changes.
Note: The DSR-1000eZ can auto detect the camera type connected (NTSC or PAL).
The Navco multiplexer is only available on NTSC units. Certain menu items may be
grayed out and unavailable under certain circumstances. The Vista VLM is grayed on
the menu to the right because the DSR-1000eZ has auto detected that an NTSC input
signal is connected.
5.7 Advanced Menu Adjust Picture
Use this menu to specify the Brightness, Contrast, and Saturation of the video input.
