(ChewingGum, etc.) Rub with ice or immerse in very cold water. Use dull tool to
carejidly scrape offas much adhesive or gum as possible. Sponge
with asafedry cleaning fluid,* then launder.

exceptuse non-chlorine bleach.
Anti-perspirants,
Deodorants Apply undiluted liquid detergent. Rinse. If stain remains, bleach
according toStain Removal Hint on opposite page. If color has
changed, youmay be able to restore it by sponging with
ammonia.**Rinse thoroughly.
Blood Soakin cold water, then launder in warm water. If stain remains,
bleach according toStain Removal Hint on opposite page, launder.
Soakin cold water. Treat stain with astie dry cleaning fluid*;
Apply undiluted liquid detergent, launder, dry. Bleach according
toStain Removal Hint on opposite page, launder and dry.
Spongeor soak in cool water, then launder.
Soak in cold water. Sponge with asafe dry
cleaning fluid.*Apply undiluted liquid
detergent. Launder inwarm water.
Spongewith warm water. If stain remains,
apply warmglycerine, let stand 30 minutes
and rinse well, or spongewith asafe dry
cle&ing fluid.*Launder.
Chocolate, Cream,
IceCream and Milk
Coffee andTea Without cream: Bleach according to Stain Removal Hint on
opposite page. Launder. Withcream; Follow guide directions for
cream.
Cosmetics: Eye Shadow,
Lipstick, Mascara, Liquid
orPancake Makeup, Rouge,
Powder;Crayon; Grease,
Oil, Tar,Cod Liver Oil.
Treatstain with safe dry cleaning fluid? Apply undiluted liquid
detergent; launder anddry. Bleach according to Stain Removal
Hint on opposite page.
Spongewith asafe dry cleaning fluid.*
Then launder inwarm detergent water.
Soak stain in cool water. If stain remains, bleach according to Stain
RemovalHint on opposite page, launder. Sponge with warm water. Bleach remaining
stainwith non-chlorine bleach.
Fresh Fruit, Fruit Juices,
Wine, Vegetables, or Food
Coloring
Grass, Foliage, Flowers,
Mildew,Scorch Apply undiluted liquid detergent. Launder. (Treat mildew spots
while theyare fresh, before mold has achance to weaken fabric.) If
either type stainremains, bleach according to Stain Removal Hint
onopposite page, launder. (Severe scorch cannot be removed.)
Spongewith warm water. Apply undiluted
liquid detergent. Bleach remaining stain
with non-chlorine bleach, then launder.
Oldmildew stains can sddom be removed.
Scorch canseldom be removed.
Ink, Ballpoint Fresh stains: Place stainI%cedown on an absorbent towel and
sponge with dry cleaning fluids oruse spray cleaner. Apply
undiluted liquid detergent. Old stains; bleach according to Stain
RemovalHint on opposite page.

Paintand Vhrnish Soften with oil, lard or Vaseline, then sponge with turpentine or
banana oil. Launder inwarm water. Same as white and bleachable fhbrics.
Perspiration Apply undiluted liquid detergentand launder in warm water. If
color has changed youmay be able to restore it by treating with
ammonia or vinegar.= Ifany stain remains, treat with safe dry
cleaning fluid*or bleach acconling to Stain Removal Hint on
opposite page, launder anddry.
Launder inwarm water. Rinse well. Bkaeh

launder.
