	Before You Call For Service…

		Halogen/Radiant Cooktop

PROBLEM	POSSIBLE CAUSE

AREAS OF	• Marks from aluminum and copper pans as well as mineral deposits
DISCOLORATION	from water or food can be removed with the cleaning cream.
ON COOKTOP

PLASTIC MELTED	• Hot cooktop came into contact with plastic placed on the hot cooktop.
TO THE SURFACE	See the Special care information in the Glass Cooktop Cleaning section.

PITTING OF	• Hot sugar mixture spilled on the cooktop. Call a qualified technician
THE COOKTOP	for replacement.

FREQUENT CYCLING	• Incorrect cookware used. Use only flat cookware to minimize cycling.
OFF AND ON OF
SURFACE UNITS

CONTROL KNOB	• When the knob is at the OFF position, it must be pushed in before it
WILL NOT TURN	can be turned. When the knob is at any other position, it can be turned
	without being pushed in.
