CONNECTIONS:

1. Ensure that the POWER SWITCH (1) is in th e OFF position

prior to making any connections. This unit comes with a po wer

cord. Plug into the rear panel POWER CORD (2) jack befo re

plugging it into a proper power source.

2. The

PS-626xhas 2 stereo outputs located on the rear panel:

- The

MASTER RCA OUTPUT (3) connects the mixer to your

main amplifier using standard audio cables with RCA-type con- nectors.

The REC (4) output jacks can be used to connect the mixer to

the recor d input of you r recording u nit, thus en abling you to

record your mix with RCA cables.

 

3. Headphones ma y be plug ged into the fr ont panel-mounted

5. The PS-626x has 2 CONVERTIBLE PHONO/LINE (PH/LN)

RCA INPUTS (7) located on the rear panel on either side of the

RCA INPUTS. Facing the rear panel, the convertible RCA input

on your right is for PH 1/LN 1 (7). The convertible RCA input on

your left is for PH 2/ LN 3 (7). Using the PH/LN CONVERTERS

(8), located just below each input, you may convert the PH to LN

and vice versa. Plug the RCA's from your playable medium into

each input to be co

nnected to their respe ctive CHANNELS

(CH). When the PH/LN CO NVERTERS (8) a re set to Phono,

the CONVERTIBLE PHONO/L INE (PH/LN) RCA INPUTS (7)

only accept turntables with a magnetic cartridge. The STEREO

LN INPUTS (7) only accept line level inputs such as a CD,

DAT,

Mini Disc, etc and require the proper switch setting.

6. When using (a) turntable(s), you will need to ground the

cable(s) by screwing in the grounding fork(s) to th e GROUND-

ING SCREW (9) located in the rear panel of the PS-626xmixer.

Attach each PH ground line to the GROUND THUMB SCREW

(9). This is located

directly a bove the REAR PANEL MICRO-

PHONE JACK (6).

NOTE: WHEN USING TURNTABLES, NOT ATTACH ING A GROUND

CAUSE A SYSTEM "HUM."

 

1. Once all of your

con nections have b een ma de in the r ear

panel, turn on the mixer by pressing the POWER SWITCH (1).

2. CH 1: To bring this channel into program output (PGM), you

must first decide which line will be in use. Use th e LN SWITCH

(10) to toggle from

PH 1/LN 1 to LN 2 on this chann el. Once

you've selected the

pr oper line, slowly r aise th e CH 1 SLIDE

CONTROL (11) to a comfortable level. You can further modify

the sound output of this channel by adjusting the rotary GAIN

(12), HIGH (13), MID (14), LOW (15) controls located above the

CH 1 SLIDE CONTROL (11).

 

3. CH 2: To bring this channel into PGM, you must first decide

which line will be in use. Use the LN SWITCH (10) to toggle from

PH 2/LN 3 to LN 4

on this ch annel. Once you've selected the

proper line, slowly r aise the CH 2 SL IDE CONTROL (11) to a

comfortable level. Yo u ca n fur ther modify the sou nd outp ut of

this channel by adjusting the rotary GAIN (12), HIGH (13), MID

(14), LOW (15) controls located above the CH 2 SLI DE CON-

TROL (11).

 

 

4. CH 3: To bring this channel into PGM, you must first decide

which line will be in use. Use the LN SWITCH (10) to toggle from

LN 5 to LN 6 on this channel. Once you've selected the proper

line, slowly raise the CH 3 SLIDE CONTROL (11) to a comfort-

able level. You can further modify the sound output of this chan-

nel b y adjusting t he rotary GAIN (12), HIGH (13), MID

(14),

LOW (15) controls lo cated above the CH 3 SLIDE CONTROL

(11).

SLIDE CONTROLS AND MASTER (21) VOLUME ROTARY CONTROLS. THIS WILL PREVENT SIGNAL OVERLOAD AND DECREASE DISTORTION. ONCE YOU HAVE MODIFIEDYOUR SOUND AND WOULD LIKE TO NCREASEI THE OUTPUT OF YOUR SOUND, THEN YOU MAY ADJUST THE ROTARY GAIN CONTROL IF NEEDED.
