Plug the attached AC power cord into a standard AC outlet to power the unit.

Requires 1 CR2032 battery
The backup battery is for saving the time during brief power outages. The unit cannot preform any of its normal functions when powered off of the backup battery alone.

9.Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding - type plug. A polarized plug has two blades with one wider than the other.
