Adjusting Blade

Guides

The blade guides provide side-to-side and back support to keep the blade straight while cutting. The blade guides and the back support have tung- sten steel facing to reduce wear on the guides. Properly adjusted blade guides are essential to making accurate cuts.

To properly adjust the upper and lower blade guides:

1.DISCONNECT BANDSAW FROM POWER!

2.Make sure the bandsaw blade is properly tensioned (Page 29) and the blade post is in the correct position and locked.

3.Use a 6mm hex wrench to loosen the cap screws that secure the blade guide bracket and blade support (see Figures 26–27).
