Your Freezer Provides Dual Zone Storage
The upper compartment is recommended for deep freezing long term storage. It is for such items as meat, poultry and fish.
The lower compartment operates at a higher temperature than that of the upper compartment, making it ideal for short term frozen storage such as frozen prepared foods, ice cream and other frequently used food products. Due to the higher temperature, the bottom compartment is not recommended for long term storage as it will decrease storage shelf life.
Defrosting and Draining the Freezer
•Defrost whenever the frost becomes 1/4” thick. Never use a sharp or metallic instrument to remove the frost as it may damage the cooling coils. (A punctured coil will void the warranty.)
•Turn the temperature control to OFF position and unplug the unit.
Defrosting usually takes a few hours. To defrost faster keep the freezer door and drawer open.
•Wipe the interior of the freezer and replace the electrical plug in the electrical outlet.
•Reset the temperature control to the desired setting.
