The word "MUTE" will not be displayed if the CLOSED CAPTION feature is on.

WLAST CHANNEL (LST-CH) button

Use this button to select between the last two channels viewed. (Good for watching two sporting events, etc.)

Y(SRD) button

Your Hitachi model does not access surround (SRD) using the remote control. Instead, a switch is provided on the back of your TV to change between Speaker Matrix Surround and External speakers. (See page 13.)

PICTURE-IN-PICTURE (PIP)

The Picture-in-Picture feature is convenient when you want to watch more than one program at the same time. You can watch a TV program while viewing a VCR program (TV or tape) on any of the video inputs.
