2The battery that comes with these camcorders is a lead-acid battery. Lead-acid batteries should be stored with a full charge. If the camera is not used often, it's recommended to fully discharge the battery then recharge before storing again. This keeps the cells of the battery active, prolonging the life of the battery. The average life of camcorder batteries is 2 years. (some last one year and some last three years, dsimpy epends on frequency of use.

3This camcorder uses TTL (through the lens) focusing technology. This is a contrast focusing system that is light dependent. This system allows the user to use auto focus while using accessory lenses. Infrared focusing systems used by other manufacturers require manual focusing when connecting accessory lenses.

F1.6 is the F-Stop of the camera. The lower the number, the better. Lower F-Stops allow more light to enter through the lens creating more vibrant, colorful pictures. The lens apertur, 4mm - 48mm, means the optical zoom is twelve to one (48 divided by 4). Using the instant zoom this camera has 36 to 1 digital zoom capability.

5If the AV In/Out switch is in the "IN" position the viewfinder will appear to be nonfunctional. This is normal operation.

6You must hold down the W switch until your are not zoomed in on the object at all in order for the macro focus to work.

7This feature cannot be deactivated. The caller will complain they cannot get "Index" removed from the viewfinder. All they need to do is to start recording. After recording for a few seconds of recording "Index" will disappear. "Index" will not, cannot, be recorded on the tape inside the camcorder.
