MAINTENANCE & ADJUSTMENTS

Gear Shift Cable Adjustment (HRM215SDA)

With the transmission in 1st gear, pull the gear shift lever all the

way back and release it; the lever should be approximately

centered on the number “1” on the lever cover. Verify the

transmission shifts smoothly and completely into both gears. If

adjustment is necessary:

1. Loosen the locknuts with a 10 mm wrench and move the

adjuster up or down as required.

2. Tighten the locknuts and recheck lever alignment.

3. Verify that the lever operates smoothly.

4. Start the engine and verify that the shift lever engages 1 st and 2nd

gear by engaging the drive clutch lever. Readjust if necessary.
