5. Drive clutch inspection
1. Place the shift lever in the “2” position.
2. Using light pressure, push the clutch arm toward the front of the riding
mower until you feel resistance. At this point the index mark on the clutch
arm should be between the two notches on the clutch cable joint. If the in-
dex mark moves to the service limit notch, the clutch disk may be worn
out; consult your authorized Honda dealer.
NOTE: Do not force the clutch arm during this inspection, or a false failure in-
dication will result.
