Processor Jig

Removing the Fan Assembly

To remove the fan assembly, complete the following steps:

1.Prepare the computer for disassembly.

2.Remove the keyboard.

3.Remove the hard drive.

4.Remove the display panel assembly.

5.Remove the upper CPU cover with palmrest cover and TouchPad.

6.Remove the modem.

7.Remove the system board.

8.Disconnect the fan cable and lift the fan assembly from the slot on the system board.

To replace the fan assembly, reverse the above procedures.
