Before connecting the camera to your computer, make sure you have installed the software. See “Installing the software on a Windows PC” above for details.
Note: The camera uses a USB connection, so you do not need to turn the computer off when connecting or disconnecting the camera.
To connect the camera to a Windows PC:
1. Plug the smaller end of the USB cable (supplied) into the camera.
2. Plug the other end of the cable into any USB port on your computer.
3. Slide the lens cover open to turn the camera on.
When the camera is connected to a computer, it automatically switches to PC mode and the letters PC appear on the status LCD. You are now ready to download photos.
Note: When the camera is connected to your computer, the camera buttons do not respond.
