printer is slow

Newport ROW Mac UG Final

printer is slow

Several variables can slow the printer's performance. Click the topic below that best describes the printer's performance:

multiple software applications are open

complex documents, graphics, or photographs are printing

automatic paper type option is enabled

two-sided documents are printing

If none of the above topics describes the printer's performance, then review the following:

printer driver is outdated

computer does not meet system requirements

printer is in reserve mode

multiple software applications are open

If too many software applications are open, the printer cannot print at its optimum speed.

Close all unnecessary software applications, then print the document again.

complex documents, graphics, or photographs are printing

Documents containing graphics or photographs print slower than text documents.

automatic paper type option is enabled

When the Automatic paper type option is enabled, it takes a few seconds for the printer to scan the first page of the print job to determine the appropriate paper type.

To increase the print speed, turn off the Automatic Paper-Type Sensor.

For instructions on turning off the Automatic Paper-Type Sensor, see using the automatic paper-type sensor.

two-sided documents are printing

Printing two-sided documents takes longer than printing single-sided documents.

printer driver is outdated

An outdated printer driver may be installed.
