HP and D&B Software announce UNIX-based system client/senrer initiative

HP and D&BSoftware recently announced an agreement to develop and comarket mainframe-class software for clienvserverenviron- ments. D&Bwill deliver its first UNIXa-basedsystem products for the HP 9000 Series 800 business servers later thisyear. ?'he server products wiU provide data integra- tion between D&B'sexisting mainframe host-based and upcom- ing client-based applications.

HP LaserJet IllSiprinter wins award

The HP LaserJet IIISi printer was judged Best Hardcopy Output Device at the 1992 Digital Reuiew Target Awards and Second Annual Editor's Choice Awards Competi- tion. Competitorsincluded C.Itoh CI-500, DEC DEClaser 2200, and DEC Turbo Print Server 20.

According to Digital Reuiew, products are nominated by readers based on user fiendliness, tech- nological innovation, and price/ performance. The Target Awards honor the DECcompatible prod- ucts preferred by experts and readers in 39 categories.
