Power light

White: The computer is on.

 

 

Blinking white: The computer is in the Sleep state,

 

 

which is an energy-saving mode. The computer shuts

 

 

off power to the display and other unneeded

 

 

components.

 

 

Off: The computer is off or in Hibernation. Hibernation

 

 

is an energy-saving mode that uses the least amount

 

 

of power to preserve your work.

 

 

NOTE: For select models, the Intel® Rapid Start

 

 

Technology feature is enabled at the factory. Rapid Start

 

 

Technology allows your computer to resume quickly from

 

 

inactivity. See Intel Rapid Start Technology (select models

 

 

only) on page 45 for more information.

Caps lock light

White: Caps lock is on.

 

 

Off: Caps lock is off.

Keyboard backlight light

Identifies the keyboard backlight action key.

Wireless light

White: An integrated wireless device, such as a

 

 

wireless local area network (WLAN) device, is enabled.

 

 

NOTE: Wireless devices are turned on at the factory.

 

 

Amber: All wireless devices are off.

TouchPad light

Amber: The TouchPad is off.

 

 

Off: The TouchPad is on.
