Using the Zoom

The HP PhotoSmart C500 Digital Camera has optical zoom and digital zoom. Optical zoom uses the lens to focus in on a distant object. Use it to increase the size of a subject that is distant from you. Digital zoom selects pixels from the center of the photo and enlarges the image further. Use digital zoom once you have reached the maximum optical zoom, to increase the size of your subject even further.
