–retrieve–to

Store the retrieved backup image(s) to the directory DirectoryPath on a local or remote disk volume or share, instead of FSE disk buffer. This option can only be used in combination with the –deviceoption.

DirectoryPath

Absolute or relative path pointing to an existing directory where the re- trieved backup image files are copied. The retrieved files use their original file names that were used during FSE backup.

Perform restore of the FSE server using backup image from file \\backup– server\backup_share\backup_image_file.tar.bz2 on a local or remote share (on Windows systems):

fserestore

\\backup–server \backup_share\backup_image_-

file.tar.bz2

 

 

Perform restore of the FSE server using backup image from file backup_- repository\backup_image_file.tar.bz2 on a local disk volume (on Windows systems):

fserestore –fbackup_repository\backup_image_file.tar.bz2

Perform restore of the FSE server /mnt/backup/backup_image_file.tar.bz2 (on Linux systems):

using backup image from file on a local or remote disk volume

fserestore – –file /mnt/backup/backup_image_file.tar.bz2

Retrieve the most recent backup image from medium in the FSE drive with control device /dev/sg5, and perform restore of the FSE server using this backup image (on Linux systems):
