Themaximumpayloadcapacityisthemaximumamountofloadthatthevehiclecanhaulinthecargobedand/ortow
inatrailer.Thecombinedweightofbedloadandgrosstrailerweightcannotexceedthevehicle’sstatedmaximum
payloadcapacity .
VehicleRatedCapacity
Thevehicleratedcapacityisthemaximumamountofweightthevehiclecancarry,haul,andtow.Thiscapacity
includesweightofoccupants,bedload,andgrosstrailerweight.
MaximumGrossVehicleWeight
Themaximumgrossvehicleweightisthecombinationofthevehicleweightandthemaximumvehiclecapacity.The
statedmaximumgrossvehicleweightmustnotbeexceededtomaintainsafevehicleoperation.
Maximumpayloadcapacitymustbereducedaccordinglywhenanyoptionoraccessoryisinstalledonthevehicle.See
