!WARNING
Always disconnect the electrical power at the main disconnect when servicing or replacing any electrical component. This includes, but is not limited to, such items as doors, lights, fans, heaters, and thermostats.
FRAME HEATER REPLACEMENT
Always turn off power to the case before working on any electrical components. The old wireway covers must be removed to access the door frame heaters. Begin by inserting a putty knife into the groove between the wireway cover and fiberglass frame, about an inch (25 mm) away from joints in the frame as shown in Figure 17(A). Carefully begin to pry off the cover.
As shown in Figure 17(B), use a second putty
knife or flat head screwdriver to hold up the cover. Pry the remainder of the section up, using putty knife only, until the entire cover is off and the frame heater inside the door frame is exposed.
Door frame heaters shown in Figure 18 may now be replaced.
Hussmann recommends against frame heater cycling with Innovator doors to prevent door seals from freezing to the frames and tearing.
