Setting Up the iP28
Connect iP28 to Power Source
a)For home operation and to charge your iPhone or iPod, plug the AC adaptor cable into the AC Adaptor Jack and the other end into a standard 120VAC wall socket. Adaptor must be plugged in to charge iPhone/iPod.
b)For portable operation, install 4 “AA” (LR6) batteries, 2 in each compartment on the bottom of the unit. Make sure polarity matches diagram in compartments.
Installing/Replacing Backup Battery

The iP28 uses a CR2032 battery (included with instruction booklet) for backup battery system to provide continuous alarm operation and clock settings in the event of a power failure. If the Backup Battery Low Icon located on the left of the display is flashing, it is time to replace the backup battery. Please make sure the AC adaptor is connected, otherwise all settings may be lost during battery replacement.
Open the battery compartment cover located on the bottom of the unit in the left battery compartment. Insert 1 “CR2032” battery as indicated. Replace battery compartment covers.
WARNING: Lithium batteries can explode or cause burns if disassembled, shorted, recharged, exposed to water, fire, or high temperatures. Do not place loose batteries in a pocket, purse, or other container containing metal objects, mix with used or other battery types, or store with hazardous or combustible materials. Store in cool, dry, ventilated area. Follow applicable laws and regulations for transport and disposal.
Installing/Replacing Batteries for Portable Use
The iP28 uses 4 “AA” (LR6) batteries for portable playing (not included). If sound becomes weak or distorted while operating on batteries, it’s time to replace the batteries.
The iP28 will not charge your iPhone or iPod while operating on batteries.
