American MPAA ratings

3Press or repeatedly to highlight Age, then press or to set the Age option to Child, Youth, Youth Adult, Adult, or Custom.

Each Age setting changes the rating settings accordingly.

4Press MENU or EXIT to close the menu.

To custom set the Parental Control level:

1Press the MENU button. The on-screen menu opens to the Audio menu.

2Press or to select the V-Chip menu . The V-Chip menu opens.

Rating	Description
OFF	Not rated.
G	General audiences.
PG	Parental guidance suggested. Some
	material may not be suitable for
	children.
PG-13	Parental guidance strongly suggested.
	Some material may not be suitable for
	children under 13 years of age.

RRestricted. Not suitable for children under 17 years of age unless accompanied by a parent or guardian.

NC-17	Not suitable for children under 17
	years of age.
X	Adults only.

3Press or repeatedly to highlight Age, then press or to set the Age option to Custom.

4To set the MPAA rating, press or repeatedly to highlight MPAA Rating, then press or to set the rating to G, PG, PG-13, R, NC-17, X, or Off.

5To set the TV rating, press or repeatedly to highlight PG Rating. The Rating window opens.

6Press or to move to a rating, then press

or , to block (B), or unblock (U) that rating.

When you block a rating, that rating and all higher ratings are blocked. When you unblock a rating, that rating and all lower ratings are unblocked.

TV Parental Guidelines (PG) ratings

TV-Y	All children.
TV-Y7	Children over seven years of age.
TV-G	General audiences.
