Adjusting the sound volume balance

To adjust the sound volume balance:

1Press BALANCE L or BALANCE R on the remote

or press BALANCE on the receiver. “BAL” and the

balance level is displayed for three seconds.

2Rotate the UP/DOWN knob to adjust the

balance.

You can have the receiver automatically tune to

radio stations, or you can do it manually using the

TUNE/PRESET button on the receiver or the TUNER

button on the remote. Each time this button is

pressed, the mode changes as follows:

•TUNE mode—the PRESET indicator turns off and

the tuner scans through the available stations.

•PRESET mode—the PRESET indicator lights up

and the tuner only scans through stations saved

into the preset memory.

Auto tuning to a radio station

To auto tune a radio station:

1Repeatedly press BAND on the receiver or

TUNER on the remote to select AM, FM mono,

or FM Stereo.

2Press TUNE/PRESET to set the tuning mode to

TUNE.

Notes

• If the tone display disappears, start again from

step 1.

• Extreme settings at high volume may damage

your speakers.

• To cancel the tone direct function, press the

TONE button again. TON CTRL is displayed and

DIR turns off.
