USING/STORING THE STRAP (FIGURE 2)
WARNING
DO NOT use strap without a seat cushion. The strap MUST be secured under seat cush- ion when operating the wheelchair. Other- wise, strap may become entangled in rear wheels and injury or damage may occur.
DO NOT use the strap to carry or lift the wheelchair. Otherwise, injury or damage may occur.
The strap is provided to secure the folded wheelchair during transport.
Using the Strap
1. Remove the seat cushion from the wheelchair.
NOTE: Disconnect the back upholstery cover from the seat upholstery if adjustable tension back upholstery is installed.
2.Pull the strap UP to remove from the fastening strips on the seat upholstery.
3.Fold the wheelchair. Refer to FOLDING/UNFOLDING THE WHEELCHAIR in this procedure of the manual.
4.Wrap the strap around the seat rails of the wheel- chair as shown in FIGURE 2.
5.Press the hook fastening strip at the end of the strap firmly against the loop fastening strip on the strap to secure the wheelchair.
Storing the Strap
1.Unfoldthewheelchair.RefertoFOLDING/UNFOLDING THE WHEELCHAIR in this procedure of the manual.
2.Secure the loop fastening strip of the strap to the fasten- ingstripsontheseatupholsteryasshowninFIGURE2.
NOTE: Secure the back upholstery cover to the seat up- holstery if adjustable tension back upholstery is installed.
FOLDING/UNFOLDING THE BACK (FIGURE 3)
WARNING
The back MUST be locked securely in place BEFORE using the wheelchair. Oth- erwise, injury or damage may occur.
Unfolding
1.Push/pull the back canes UP towards REAR ofwheel- chair until the back locks in place.
2.Check to make sure the back is securely locked in place.
Folding
1.Pull the back release cord UP and push the back canes DOWN towards the seat upholstery.
