STABILITY WARNINGS

The seat dump, back angle, seating system, caster size and position, rear wheel size and position, anti-tippers, as well as the user condition directly relate to the stability of the wheelchair. Any change to one (1) or any combination of the nine (9) may cause the wheelchair to decrease in stability. These adjustments MUST be performed by a qualified technician ONLY.

NOTE: When changes to the left hand column occur, follow across the chart and refer to the procedure to maintain the proper stability, safety and handling of the wheelchair.

NOTE: Additional adjustments may be needed according to the wheel- chairtype.Refertothewheelchairowner'smanualfortheseprocedures.

To maintain maximum stability, position the rear wheels in the most rearward position in the axle mounting plate. Moving the rear wheels to any of the other mounting positions causes the wheelchair to decrease in stability.

ALWAYS ensure stability BEFORE moving the rear wheels forward. TEST wheelchair BE- FORE it is occupied by the end user to ensure safety.
