SAFETY SUMMARY
The following recommendations are made for the safe operation of the PEDIATRIC
WALKER - Sportrunnerâ„¢:

GENERAL WARNING

DO NOT install or use this equipment without first reading and understanding
these instructions. If you are unable to understand the Warnings, Cautions or
Instructions, contact a healthcare professional, dealer or technical personnel
before attempting to install this equipment - otherwise, injury or damage
may occur.
Each individual should always consult with their physician or therapist to
determine proper adjustment and usage.

STABILITY WARNINGS

Check to make sure crutch tips and wheels are not ripped, worn or missing.
Replace BEFORE using walker.
DO NOT use crutch tips on front wheel inserts.
Short steps should be taken to assure weight is distributed evenly and directly
over walker legs. These precautions will prevent uncontrollable movement
of walker when pulling or pushing.
A physical/occupational therapist should assist in the placement and
positioning of the hand grips for maximum support.
Care should be taken to ensure that ALL hand and height adjustments are
secure, and that wheels and moving objects are in good working order
before using this or any mobility aid.
All wheels MUST be in contact with the floor at ALL TIMES during use. This will
ensure the walker is properly balanced.
Invacare Walkers can provide ambulatory assistance for an individual
weighing up to 65 lbs. (29.48 kg.). Invacare Walkers are designed to provide
support, increased stability and assistance to an individual while walking.
A physical/occupational therapist should assist in determining the appro-
priate orientation of the walker (pulling or pushing) for the user.
Height adjustment MUST be checked frequently with the assistance of a
physical/occupational therapist to maintain proper height for the user.
