PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The Drop Base is designed to provide stable base of support for the individual who uses a seat cushion in the wheelchair. Using the Drop Base on certain chairs may allow the seat cushion to be recessed up to three

(3)inches (7.5 cm). The angle of the Drop Base can be changed using the adjustable mounting clips. The Drop Base lowers seat cushion height for improved fit under tables or desks and improves foot propulsion.

The Drop Base is manufactured with universal crossbrace cut-outs which allows the Drop Base to fit most Invacare Manual (Model DBA) and Power Wheelchairs (Model DBPA).

Adjustable height mounting clips allow for changes of depth or angle in the field and also can be used for clinical evaluation.

Drop base mounting clips come in two (2) diameters, 7/8-inch (22mm) and 1-inch (25mm). These allow the base to interface with wheelchairs that have different seat rail diameters.

ASSEMBLY (FIGURE 1)

Remove the Drop Base, mounting clips and L-shaped brackets from the packaged container.

NOTE: The mounting clips can be positioned upward or downward depending on the amount of drop required.

Adjustable Mounting Clips

2.Usenutsandboltsprovidedandattachmountingclips/ L-shaped bracket to Drop Base plate.
