7. Aligntheholesoftheboomassemblymountingbracketwiththoseoftheboom
actuatorandinsertthebolt.Securewithnut.
NOTE:Besurethattheboltiscompletelythroughtheholesoftheboomassemblymounting
bracketandtheactuatorassembly.Theboomassemblywillpivoteasilyifthemountinghardware
isalignedproperlywhentheboomassemblyissecuredtothemast.
CAUTION
DO NOT overtighten the nut and bolt. This damages the mounting bracket.
NOTE:Thebottomoftheactuatorassemblywillalreadybeassembledtothemastmountingbracket.
Installing the Leg Actuator to the Base
NOTE:Forthisprocedure,refertoFIGURE 2.4onpage20.
1. Slidethelegactuatorintotheslotinthebaseofthepatientlift.SeeDetail“B”.
2. Performthefollowingtosecurethelegactuatortothepivotbracket(DetailA”):
WARNING
Ensure that there is sufficient room to turn patient lift on its side and that floor area
is clear of debris. Otherwise, injury to personnel or damage to patient lift may
occur.
A. Turnthepatientliftonitsside.
B. Positionslotinlegactuatoroverthepivotbracket.
C. Installthepinthroughthelegactuatorandpivotbracketandsecurewithhitchpin.
D. Returnthepatientlifttotheuprightposition.
3. Performthefollowingtosecurethelegactuatortothemastbracket(Detail“B”):
A. Positionlegactuatorbetweenmastbrackets.
B. Movethelegstoaligntheholesinthelegactuatorwiththeholesinthemast
bracket.
C. Installthepinthroughtheholesofthelegactuatorandmastbracketandsecure
withhitchpin.
4. Plugthependantcontrol(notshown)intothebottomofthecontrolbox.
