WARNING
DO NOT place the patient in the wheelchair if the locks are not engaged. The
wheelchair wheel locks MUST be in a locked position before lowering the patient
into the wheelchair for transport. Otherwise, injury may result.
4. Usethestrapsorhandlesonthesideandthebackoftheslingtoguidethepatient’s
hipsasfarbackaspossibleintotheseatforproperpositioning.
5. Positionthepatientovertheseatwith
theirbackagainstthebackofthechair.
6. Begintolowerthepatienteitherby
openingthecontrolvalveorby
pressingtheboomdownbutton.
7. Twoassistantsarerecommendedfor
thisstep‐Oneassistantstandsbehind
thechairandtheotheroperatesthe
patientlift.Theassistantbehindthe
chairpullsbackonthegrabhandle(on
selectmodels)orsidesoftheslingto
seatthepatientwellintothebackofthe
chair.
NOTE:Thiswillmaintainagoodcenterof
balanceandpreventthechairfromtipping
forward.
8. Leavetheslinginplaceunlessa
dividedlegslingwasused.Removea
dividedlegsling.

toreturntotheseatingsurfaceofthe
