The USB 2.0/FireWire® Combo PCI card is natively supported within the OSX operating system, with the exception of USB 2.0 functionality.

To ensure your Combo PCI card is installed properly, check the Apple System Profiler (under PCI Cards) to ensure that it is being detected.
