Auto Set Up — referring to the front display panel

The Auto Set Up function sets the tuner channels, clock and Guide Program numbers automatically.

BEFORE YOU START PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT:

8The TV aerial cable is connected to the ANT.IN connector on the rear panel of the video recorder.8The video recorder’s mains power cord is connected to a mains outlet.8The video recorder is turned off.8Load batteries into the remote control.

●If you have selected 36 (MAGYARORSZÁG), 42 (CESKÁ REPUBLIKA), 48 (POLSKA) or EE (OTHER EASTERN

EUROPE), press OK. The Clock Set screen appears. Set the clock manually (墌pg.66), then go to step 3.

●If you have selected any other country name (code), press OK and go to step 3.

3Press OK (remote). “Auto” appears on the front display panel.

4Press OK (remote) to start Auto Set Up. Do NOT press any button on the video recorder or remote control during

“Auto” is blinking.

●If you have connected the recorder to your TV via the AV connection (墌pg.10), the recorder will automatically

perform Preset Download (墌pg. 14) instead of the Auto Set Up.

●If “– –:– –” appears on the front display panel, see page15 of the instructions.

* Once you have performed Auto Set Up, even if the recorder’s memory backup has expired, the recorder will not

perform Auto Set Up again. Perform tuner setting (墌pg.60) and/or clock setting (墌pg. 66) as required.

1Press 1 (recorder/remote).

2Press rt (remote) to select the international telephone

country code.

(Example) DEUTSCHLAND (49) is selected.

●If you have selected 32 (BELGIUM) or 41 (SUISSE), press OK (remote) and select the language code by pressing

rt (remote), then go to step 3.

(Example) FRANCAIS (03) is selected for BELGIUM (32).
