Select The Soundtrack

Your VCR can record two soundtracks simultaneously (Normal and Hi-Fi) and play back the selected one, or both together. Or, when viewing a pre-recorded tape that contains two separate Hi-Fi audio programs, you can choose to listen to either one by selecting either "Hi-Fi L" or "Hi-Fi R" in step 3.

	Move the highlight bar (arrow) to "FUNCTION SET" by
	pressing CH5° or SHUTTLE PLUS%Þ, then press OK
	or SHUTTLE PLUS%.
	SELECT AUDIO MONITOR
3	SET MODE
	Move the highlight bar	FUNCTION
	(arrow) to "AUDIO
		PICTURE CONTROL	AUTO
	MONITOR" by pressing
	CH 5° or SHUTTLE PLUS	=VIDEO CALIBRATION	ON
		AUTO TIMER	OFF
	%Þ, then press OK or
		SUPERIMPOSE	ON
	SHUTTLE PLUS%to	AUTO SP=EP TIMER	OFF
	select the desired mode:	NEXT PAGE
	a– Hi-Fi	SELECT WITH (5,°) AND (OK)
		PRESS (MENU) TO END
	b– Hi-Fi L
	c– Hi-Fi R
	d– Normal
	e– Mix

NOTES:

●If the tape being played back has no Hi-Fi soundtrack, the Normal soundtrack will be heard no matter what choice you make in step 3.

●If RF connection is used for TV, even if Hi-Fi audio monitor is selected the sound will be mono and will be reproduced in

both loudspeakers.

Video Stabilizer

By activating the Video Stabilizer you can correct vertical vibrations in the picture when playing back unstable recordings that were made on another VCR. When this function is set to "ON", vertical vibration will be automatically corrected. *The default setting is "OFF".

		TUNER SET

	press OK or SHUTTLE

		PRESS (MENU) TO END
	ACTIVATE VIDEO

	Move the highlight bar
	(arrow) to "VIDEO	=VIDEO CALIBRATION	ON

NOTES:

●When you finish viewing the tape, be sure to set it back to "OFF".

●Regardless of the setting, this function has no effect during recording and during special-effects playback.

●The Superimpose mode indications may jitter vertically when "VIDEO STABILIZER" is set to "ON".

●To watch recordings with close-caption, it is necessary to set

the Video Stabilizer function to "OFF".
